National Account Manager

Understand key drivers for assigned customers in order to develop and execute strategic sales and marketing programs. Meet or exceed assigned sales and profit objectives as per MBO's.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develops and manages yearly activities calendar including but not limited to catalog activity, promotional activity, training, pricing, and new product additions
  • Manage relationships with National Accounts and work with the Sr. VP of Sales & Marketing to ensure continued sales and profit growth.
  • Develop full customer integration of key programs and initiatives
  • Collaborate with all internal functions and properly communicate customer needs and expectations
  • Analyze product assortment and make program and product recommendations
  • Analyze customer claims for fines, shortages, subsidy payments, and other charges
  • Maintain files to document the financial arrangements with customers
  • Participant in development and management of the annual sales and marketing budget as it pertains to the assigned customer base
  • Identify new opportunities to increase sales and product placement
  • Develop and maintain Supplier Agreement letters for Key Accounts
  • Must be an independent problem solver
  • Ability to analyze data and make tough decisions
  • Able to think outside the box and incorporate new ideas from other industries
  • Ability to create and present business reviews, new product presentations and line reviews
  • Seek and actively pursue innovative products and procedures that improve profitability and strengthen the company’s reputation in the market
  • Promote the core principals of JPW Industries

Non-Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Attend sales meeting and sales and marketing meetings
  • Travel as required, some international travel may be necessary
  • Participate in cross-function training as required
  • Position is located in the Nashville office

Education and/or Experience

  • College Degree preferred or a combination of education and relevant experience
  • Previous National Account sales experience
  • Experience with inside sales
  • Experienced in sales data collection and analysis
  • Must be proficient in excel and pp applications
  • Must be adaptable and be able to consistently deal with ever-changing conditions Demonstrated problem solving and negotiation skills
  • Must be able to adapt to and follow differing procedures established by each vendor
  • Must conduct self in a professional manner at all times with personnel, customers and venue staff
  • Strong analytical and planning skills with ability to prioritize projects
