Accountabilities

The Parts Manager will be responsible for all aspects of the service parts business for all JPW brands including JET, Powermatic, Wilton, and Edwards. This individual will serve as a product manager, to maintain the current portfolio of service parts (inventory, forecasting, promotions, channel strategy, and obsolesce) as well as both a director and supporter of activities to proactively and reactively manage the physical inventory.

The individual will work in conjunction with various internal groups to develop a sound service parts strategy and improve aftermarket customer support. Individual will assist in establishing the forecasting model to maintain the correct inventory level of parts; execute new product development for aftermarket parts; analyze and adjust pricing; and develop strategies to maximize parts availability to the end user in a timely and profitable manner. This individual is responsible for the profitability and growth of the parts business.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Product Management

  • Leadership role on part pricing and selling strategy, including analyzing part costs and market pricing to meet or exceed budgeted margin requirements.
  • Lead efforts with supply chain team to review/manage/create forecasting model for new and existing service parts
  • Along with Senior Project Engineer (for parts) profile service parts and assemblies for new product launches.
  • Understand purchase patterns and ensure strategy is in line with customer needs.
  • Manage product information, packaging, and all aspects of the individual service parts.

Category Management

  • Responsible to develop and execute service parts strategies for growing profitably, growing sales, and minimizing inventory.
  • Review/monitor inventory levels and back order status of items, and make sales forecasts and sales recommendations. Reduce working capital while increasing service levels.
  • Manage sales channels and grow direct sales.
  • Met or exceed all departmental financial goals and assist in the budgeting process as directed.
  • Support marketing and sales organizations as needed.

Experience, Competencies and Education

  • Must be self-driven with a desire to grow the business and grow professionally. This role is for a highly motived individual who appreciates “room to run” and willing to “get hands dirty” to get the job done.
  • Minimum 4 years’ experience in consumer or professional products company, preferably in product management role.
  • Prefer experience in air tools, power tools, machinery, or fabrication equipment
  • Proficient with Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and SAP.
  • Understanding of all aspects of product launches, program development and sales.
  • Be able to work on multiple projects.
  • Proven written and oral communication skills.
  • 4-year college degree. MBA Preferred
  • Limited domestic travel required

Physical Demands

Continuous bending, walking, lifting. May be required to lift up to 50 pounds
