National Accounts & Channel Manager - Woodworking

Accountabilities

Individual is responsible for driving National Accounts and developing Channel Marketing programs and activities to drive growth for the Woodworking Business. The position requires a strong marketing background as the liaison coordinating product launches, promotions, and programs for our field sales organization working closely with product management, marketing, and our ad agency.

This position will support and guide our team of Regional Sales Managers and Independent Sales Representatives in conjunction with our Sales Directors. The sales responsibilities National Account Management and shared management of our independent Woodworking Channel. Make sales calls with the representatives in the field in an effort to sell programs and products, increase the reps knowledge of the product line and time devoted to JPW’s products.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Driving Sales Growth for National Account Assignment and Woodworking Channel
  • Develop commercialization strategies for effective new product launches and marketing campaigns.
  • Help manage all channel sales programs including creative and analysis
  • Develop product promotions and proposals for key accounts and top regional accounts
  • Track sales and forecasts against the sales plan
  • Provide sales analysis to regional sales teams for channel opportunities and sales
  • Research and analyze the market for emerging trends and competitive opportunities and threats
  • Ensure all customer specific order processing, shipping, and product handling requirements are met
  • Provide market feedback to other corporate divisions as it pertains to competition, products, and specific account events
  • Provide monthly reports to VP & GM
  • Work closely with VP & GM as well as Product Management to develop/sell corporate accounts with national companies.
  • Where necessary work with existing sales force to generate leads, meetings and current and future prospects.
  • Track and close renewal business.

Required Skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Minimum 3 years in Large Account Management or Channel Management
  • Strong presentation skills, comfortable in a group setting
  • Computer Literate, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.
