National Account Manager - Automotive Channel

Understand key drivers for assigned Automotive channel customers in order to develop and execute strategic sales and marketing programs. Meet or exceed assigned sales and profit objectives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage relationships with assigned National Accounts and work with the Director of National Accounts to ensure continued sales and profit growth
  • Develop full customer integration of key programs and initiatives and yearly operating calendar including but not limited to catalog activity, promotional activity, trade shows, training, pricing, field engagement and new product additions
  • Create customer and channel specific programs
  • Act as Auto channel conduit from customer/channel to internal functions. Identify new opportunities to increase sales and product placement
  • Collaborate with all internal functions and properly communicate customer needs and expectations
  • Analyze customer product assortment and make program and product recommendations
  • Actively review customer pricing, programs, fines, shortages and other charges to ensure increased bottom line profitability
  • Maintain files to document the financial arrangements with customers including supplier agreements and program documents
  • Participant in development and management of the annual sales and marketing budget as it pertains to the assigned customer base
  • Must be an independent problem solver and be able to analyze data and make tough decisions
  • Able to think outside the box and incorporate new ideas from other industries
  • Ability to create and present business reviews, new product presentations and line reviews
  • Seek and actively pursue innovative products and procedures that improve profitability and strengthen the company’s reputation in the market
  • Promote the core principals of JPW Industries

Non-Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Attend sales meeting and sales and marketing meetings
  • Travel as required, some international travel may be necessary
  • Participate in cross-function training as required

Education and/or Experience

  • College Degree required
  • Previous Automotive National Account experience a plus
  • Must be proficient in Excel and PowerPoint applications
  • Must be adaptable and be able to consistently deal with ever-changing conditions
  • Demonstrated problem solving and negotiation skills
  • Must conduct self in a professional manner at all times with internal and external business partners
  • Self-starter with strong analytical and planning skills with ability to prioritize projects

Excellent total compensation package, salary contingent upon experience. M/F/V/D
